This course has been specially developed by DDK CONSULTING to introduce MicroStation J users to the new MicroStation V8 software format and interface enhancements and teach them the proper use of new and upgraded tools.

MicroStation V8 represents a major evolution in CAD software. The application has been totally reformatted to work in a heterogeneous design environment. It comes with many new features and enhancements intended to improve its functionality. The new features will enable CAD users to increase efficiency and reduce the number of mouse clicks. There are also enhancements to the interface, viewing capabilities, placement and manipulation tools, text options, reference files, and the dimensioning and measuring tools.
Moving to MicroStation V8 will greatly improve your workflow, overriding the discomfort that comes with learning a new interface and tools. The User Interface is restructured to make the most of the program format changes. There are new tools added to the application and improved tool box customization capability. Users will be able to easily define the tools they want displayed in their environment.
